Unit 7 - Theatre in education

Thursday 30^th November

We now have a full, complete draft of the script. We now need to spend some time working through it and making any necessary adjustments.

We spent the first part of the lesson running through the lines for the final scene. This is because it is newly scripted and we all need to start learning our lines. Once we had finished running through scene 7 a couple of times, we decided to have a full run through of the show.

It was quite difficult running the full show because members of the cast still don’t know their lines and queues. This therefore meant that the rehearsal took longer than it should have and that people need to start learning their lines so we can start to have some fluid runs of the show. During the rehearsal, we spotted a few mistakes in the script which I will go through and correct in the near future. There are also a few lines to be added in some places to make the scene a bit clearer.

Once Danielle arrived for the last hour of the session, we had a last through of the show for today. However, when we got to the last scene, Cara played the part of Tanzie to show Danielle what her character would be doing and saying.
